I see no reason to spend ?160 to upgrade from dm800 pro,maybe if you have dm500 then maybe worth considering.However as others have said this is a new box untested for future bugs.The dm800 pro as been proven over time to be a solid box.

i can only comment on my own experience mate. and having both, i definately prefer the 800se.

no need to upgrade if you got a 800hd pro already.

but for me the se is a lot better in many ways.

if you were to get a new box - it would have to be the se.................is all i'm saying.

Have had DM800 SE for 3 weeks. Have to agree with alom 5. The SE is far superior than the 800.

just got mine 2day and im well chuffed ps any body got the plugin for switching between config lines

i like 800se too ,the price good and boot very fast ,dreambox 8000 is good too but boot very slow

Please can you tell me what Sim is the 800se you bought? I have a migraine trying to work out if better to have sim 2.1 or ferrari. Seems sim 2.1 boxes have had a security chip removed and so require more patching. They however have more images. Which sim have you guys got and what do people think about each?

as you have said more images out there and there are more about so if you get one in my opinion the 2.1

There is a suggestion that 2.1 boxes will stop working in future due to lack of the actel chip. Not sure what people mean by this. Whether the box will not be able to get the latest images or whether they mean it will stop working full stop (cant see how that would happen)

Even if it is a report it is a terrible report. I seen the thread and was thinking 'lets hope this is a report on it by someone who has given a lot of information, tested several images, picture quality.....'

Instead I opened the thread to find pictures (that can be found anywhere) and basic information I can come across anywhere.

Also the thread just has advertising all over it. Go post it on Alibaba or DHGate and so on. We dont come on here to be bombarded by people trying to sell us things.

Mate if there working there working the receiver is not simply just going to cut out because something is supposedly missing. If something was missing there would be problems from the start.
