    anyone give me a good idear which HD to buy external for my dm800 and does it have to be linux compitable

    any would do. Then youll need to format it to FAT32 (max file size 4gb) or EXT2/3 which can be only read by linux but no file limit

              i have a 16gb usb on a dreambox 800hd with all russian ssl76 image mounted on hdd.works perfect ,i have attached meoboot. i have tried to record and does this too. not many images you can mount on hdd and record.

                I'm using a Maxtor Basics 500g with it's own power supply, works a treat never had any probs with it.
