Glitching when in menu and EPG

Is it normal for the Dm800's picture to glitch occasionally when in the menu and viewing the EPG?

It seems to happen almost every time I enter the menu or EPG.

happens here too, dreamelite 1.3.3 pheonix image, must be all the epg data loading taking up cpu power, well 7 day guide for all them channels cant blame it really, its not a big deal, wonder if dm800se does it ?

I'm using Dreamelite 1.3.3 too. I wonder if it's just a dreamelite issue?

Seems to be a common problem, switched from Phoenix to edg nemesis 2.1 cause of this, still slight glitching when viewing epg.

i have got the exact same problem,23.58 pm picture freezes when downloading epg data,have now decided to reflash box and not set up epg,dreambox 7025+..

Its mostly due to buggy EPG and, to some extent OS software.

Unfortuantely, the EPG software tends to take up 100% cpu cycles while its searching for data rather than just doing a small amount at a time as a low priority background task. Result is the higher priority tasks, especially softcams, get starved of cycles.

There's also a hardware issue with the stream demultiplexor on some box types.

Does it on newnigma 3.2.1 as well and I've had it on pretty much every other image I've tried too. The above poster has it right id say and not really much that can be done. I don't get it so much if I call the epg a second time but that's probably because some data has been cached etc so the cpu doesn't have to do much with it. It could probably be fixed but I just live with it!

Alternative? Try OpenTv source

Try OpenTv source. After many weeks of struggling with rytec.sources.xml files I finally have a full 7 days EPG running and updating daily. No glitching or freezing. I am using Nemesis 2.2 image installed.-dm800-2-E(1.6)-SVN(078). If anybody wants my setting pm me.
