DM500HD original no longer working?

Hi All,

I bought a DM500HD from southernsat last October.
I had the Gemini 5.0 image on it and was all working fine up until this week.

now the box wouldn't turn on unless i wiggled the power lead in the back and then it just about stays on now. but the problem is it is no longer moving my motor.

I connected a tm5400 to the satellite and that is moving it fine. I then thought i would use this to turn the sat to 28.2e and then plug in the dm500hd and configure it to single sat on 28.2e but it is showing no signal etc. i have reflashed the box with both gemini and a pli images but no success.

does anybody know what the likely problem could be and is this a warranty issue or am i down over 300 quid?

any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

if you got your box last october then just send it back to be repaired. regards mdt

who do i send it back to, southernsat or dream multimedia because i dont know how to get in contact with dream multimedia.

also will there be any warranty issues with regards to using gemini firmware?

does'nt the sale of goods act say you first
contact the place you got it, so i would ring
the dealer, also have you thought of flashing the
official dream image back on it, i was also reading
now all genuine dreambox models will have a two
year warranty

Hi m8! In reference to ur post I advice that u reflash your box with dreambox multimedia original image, then start from there, by goin to settings, under settings go to tuner configuration and set ur usals position ( longitude & latitude), then try moving ur dish.
