    Dreambox 800HD Clone glitching?

Hi I wondered if anyone could help me with this problem.

I live in a block of flats and have a communial dish, i recently bought a dreambox 800 hd clone and hooked it up via satellite cable and ethernet cable.

When viewing my HD channels I get some glitching now and again even though my signal is at 85 percent- 90 percent.

Is this normal? It happens a lot on my sports and movie channels. I would say every 40 seconds a small glitch.

I think I have the latest M tuner.

Any work arounds or is that what happens when you buy cheap clones? I'm happy with my purchase but just want to know if there is a fix.

Check the ecms if they are high its more than likely your server,if thats fine which im guessing its not its maybe you are downloading torrents which is affecting bandwidth.
Another thing is what internet broadband you have, maybe a dongle they are not great but if fta channels are fine its def an internet problem but more than likely your server is at fault.

    Andy.

Thanks for the reply. How do i check the ecms using my remote?

Also i'm with virgin broadband, think i'm at 20mb. I ain't downloading at all, so that shouldn't be the problem. Although dreambox is attached to my router.

The server probably sounds more plausible, currently have a 6 month sub with the guy who sold me the box. Like I said not overly bad at all, but just wanted to see if anything could be done?

I read up on an inline amp booster, would that be any good?

On my box i hit exit twice on remote and it brings up info bar plus server details.
I think thats someting you have to set but if you have latest M tuner inline amp wont make any difference.
I would try a test line from somewhere else but are your fta channels fine with no glitch?
I also have Pauli Neutino keymap plugin installed for better use of remote.
You could try customize in menu/setup/system/customize and select expert, that might bring up info bar and server details,
        Andy.

Just tested BBC 1 and ITV no glitching on them at all. Must be my server, gonna have a look to see if i can get the ecm to show up on screen, all it shows is SNR and AGC.

It's warm but not that hot that I couldn't put my hand on it. I think I have a fan built in the box, although I can't hear it.

Press blue button which is blue panel and scroll down till you see ecm time.

Checking ecm time it quite sporadic jumps from 0.545 to 1.100 to 0.221. It's all over the place.

Thats why its glitching,no ones is perfect but mine hovers around 0.200 to 0.300 on an average and haardly see a glitch when its running smooth.
Anything over 0.500 brings the chance of a glitch.
Does it say hop1 or hop 2?

Means its a shared card, best to be on hops 1 thats why your having so many glitches.
What kind of price did you pay? How far into the sub are you? Hard finding a decent server with support.

                        Andy.

Best advice is never taake a sub out for a long length of time as if the server goes tits up you have wasted your money.
I would contact the guy you bought the box off or try and find a better server.
