Having Promblem with Box, Please Help

Hey Guys

Ive had a DM 800 for a while and all of sudden it packed up, ive put a new image in Dream Elite. it now works however i cant open Any HD channels apart from the BBC HD, BBC ONE HD, ITV 1 HD. all the channels used to open before, also when i do a scan i only find about half of the total channels that should be on the 28.2E sat.

any help would be appreciated

P.S the HD channels have 0 signal, but it cant be a tuner problem? as the other HD channels are okay and the other SD channels i find are ok, both premium and FTA.

Put on a fresh set of bouquets,either Sgtflipflops or Catseyes bouquets.

hello ive downloaded sgt flipflops latest boquets and satiellite.xml file however i dont know where to ftp them. like what folders/subfolders i need to go into to put them there. i know the .xml file goes in a different place to the boquet files

i have no idea how to use dbedit, i downloaded the file last time and had no idea how to use it.

are you using a cline with your box or a card?? Have you installed cccam and cfg file?
unrar file, open DBedit, click on open and select your file. click on options type in ip addy, select new enigma 2 settings and save.
click on ftp,click the send files to dreambox tab. after files have been sent click on the reload settings on dreambox tab. all done

hey thanks for the response, andy thanks for the guide. i now have all the new channels, however none of the new channels open. only 3HD channels still work and a small handful of SD channels both FTA and premium.

i have CCCAM fitted and a .CFG file, the thing i dont get is why some of the channels dont open and show 0 snr? im confused

p.s ive had the box for 8 months and it worked perfectly till 2 days ago when it packed up and i had to flash a new image.

Try a manual scan on single satellite if that dont fix it it must be your server or possibly a faulty lnb.

i will try a manual scan in a min, atm doing a full scan again. not sure about the server as some channels are working such as sky sports 1 when the other 4 arent etc. but il keep on trying any suggestion, LNB i think is fine? as i swapped my DM 800 to my old and trusty DM 500s and All the channels were working fine.

I take it you downloaded the bouquets from that last page of Sgtflip[flops bouquet page?
They should sort out the missing channels.
Auto scan will do all sats and take forever.
Seems strange youi having no snr on some channels so could be a tuner problem.

cheers, i did download the latest boquets however i dont think i transferred the latest sat.xml file. so that could play havoc with frequencies? the scan is complete and everything is working finally all channels are up and working including all HD, thanks for all the help, i pressume scanning with the old sat.xml file wasnt clever aha

All the latest bouquets have a sat xml file included in them.
Once you upload using Dreamboxedit normally sorts it.
BBCHD was a pain recently but doing a scan brought it back.
Glad you sorted it and posted back your results,others then can follow the thread and learn.
