    dead 800

i have just had a look at a mates dm800
and it wont power up the psu and mains cable is
ok and iv'e try the power lead from my 500hd
and it the same the 2 led lights near the cat5 cable socket are lit
and when first powered up the red light on the front came on
but after seeing nothing on the screen i uplugged it held the front
button and plugged in again and after a few minutes nothing
i opened the box and checked for any clues burn broken joints etc
and everythings ok i even use a computer cleaner and de greaser spray
i even sprayed the sim and every thing is clean . the broadcom chip is getting warm giving the impression there is power in the system
and now we are at a loss anyone had this or any advice would be helpfull

grasping at straws a bit but have you tried another DVI to HDMI cable or a scart from box to TV
