    Flash dreambox DM800se

    Hey all.
I hope you guys are able to help me, im quite new to the whole dreambox scene so please be gentle.

I was very much into cable before the move to nagra 3.

After years of saying im going to get one and lots of research i have finally bit the bullet and got myself a brand spanking new DM800se clone from ukdreamshop.

After reciving the box i plugged it into an existing sly dish scanned 28.2e at max it only managed to find 101 channels of witch only about 3 channels work.

So after doing some reasearch i decided the best cause of action was to try and load a new image. First off i done it with the mini USB port on the back and sunray flash up only to find it would load up and stop when it got to "box is flashing from its memory".
So my next action was to try it over the network putting IP into computer and it would get as far loading the image and the page just times out )-: i thought mabe i need to do a factory reset on the box but this did not help and i still have the same problem.
Im using a wifi bridge if thats usefull info? but with it not loading even with the USB cable mabe the wifi bridge is not the problem?
I would be very grateful of any help you may be able to give.
Im an electrician by trade so if i can help you with any home electrics please let me know.

    Thanks again!

Hey the USB was the wrong one but never mind as I thought I would have one last ditch attempt by connecting box direct to router without the wifi bridge and it worked fist time!
Happy days! Now time to read up on this cccam. Hope this post is helpful to others in the future.
Thanks for your help all! (-:

Alot of noobs come on want free tv highjack threads and want quick answers with little effort.
Its good that you want to give something back and stay around.
You will only learn by coming on and following other peoples threads and taking some of the information onboard.

                        Andy.
