Dreambox800hd

Hi i have replaced my lnb on my dreambox800hd. I switched the box on and all i am getting is dreambox error on the small window of box. Also when i try to talk to box via my pc it does`nt connect checked all connections cables they seem okay

does the box actually boot up.

can you explain exactly whats happened. i don't think changing a lnb will make it say error on the lcd mate from boot.

box not booting

I have`nt used the box for a while, all i done was change the lnb powered up the box. In the small window all i can see is multimedia error and the little red light keeps flashing at the side of window. The tv shows no signal all the cables look okay ?

Try switching off at the mains, laeve it off for a few mins, switch back on. Try a few times if needed. Sometimes helps.

Hi tried various things including your suggestion still no joy can`t believe its gubbed as its not had a lot of use

wot happens when u turn off the box at the back and hold button on the front and repower box from the back . leave button pressed till u see the word
stop and tell u if theres an ip address then

if you have a dead short at lnb, like if you messed up when changing it and the inner core of the coax is touching the outer. this may cause the box to come up with error. turn off box and unscrew coax from back of box then turn on and see if it boots

open up and make sure the sim card is in correctly if its been banged it may have become dislodged.

This is also true when the LNB cable is disconnected from the back of the box?

is there any way box can be sorted or am i going to have to buy a new one ?
