    Streams cutting out

    Guys

When i am streaming from my box to pc (via homeplugs) the video starts playing, and it will then cut out for no reason. Can be any lengh of stream, can last 2 hours, or 3 mins or 30 seconds.

I have opened ports in my router. Removed firewalls, tried differant media player, all have the same symptom

    Thanks

Are you using VLC or similar? Is it with just this DM800 or have you tried others?

Its the only reciever i have m8. And it does not matter which media player i use, on laptop or pc, which leads me to now think it could be something related to the image i'm using which is black hole, not sure on version but will be in the morning

It was the same over vista/XP. I been thinking about doing away with the hompeplugs but to do so i will have to instal a switch/hub. Was thinking about 1 of these to feed the internet upstairs

            TP-Link 5-port Unmanaged Gigabit Desktop Switch - TL-SG1005D - CCL Computers

So this would plug directly into router via a 20m RJ45 then feed upstairs for internet and turn the wireless off totally as its just cutting out all the time and get a poor signal upstairs

Solved mine. Was a loose wire in socket that homeplug was connected to. Also if your running homeplugs, do not plug them into power ectentions ect as this can cause the same kinda probs
