hi all just got one of these second hand and it has sim 2.0.1 in it but i want to update the image i know how to update the image but after searching i cant figure out what image to use
i used this image on saturday after mine crashed and burned, great image the drreamelite 1.33 phoenix edition, get it all setup with the latest bouqets, picons, once its all done and you are happy with it, download the barry allen plugin via the TS panel and backup your image, so if it crashes like mine did and failed to boot you have an excellent image to fall back on with all the settings
have to agree with xNand image is personal choice, but after much playing around i like the dreamelite image the most seems to be a better finished front end for the user
Can someone help, i'm usng openpli 2.1 on a DM800HD Clone Box (SSL82 sim201) and the epg and most of menus are dog slow.
I can't tell if this is the norm or if i have a slow image on there.
I've never upgraded up but not for lack of trying, i keep getting the error INVALID IMAGE (OR OLD VERSION) when trying to install an image that uses SSL84. I did read that just installing a new image overwrites the bootloader but that isn't turning out to be the case.
Do i need to install the SSL84 bootloader on it's own?
Is it safe for my clone box ? -- last time i tried i ended up with the dreaded NO-CA error ;(

I had same issue when I updated to 2.1, use dreamelite a lot better use the web interface to flash ur box if iv got openpli 2.1 u should already have SSL84 but always double check if u have jus reflash dreamelite, if u havnt den flash ssl84 first web that's complete click back on web browsers and den flash dreamelite. That's how I did mine hope this helps
Try to install minimal amount of plugins to keep the memory as free as possible will result in less lockups, also the bootloader upgrade file requires flashing after the image but before booting, as when you flash the image it overwrites the bootloader anyhow
