Lost significant amount of channels since diseqc

    Hi guys

Im lost as to what has caused me to loose most of my astra (sky) channels since a diseqc which was installed and a 2nd dish pointed to hotbird.

Basically once the switch was installed and dm800 setup for a dual diseqc I scanned around 400 channels on hotbird but none of the ones I installed the 2nd for scanned.

I then tried an old echostar and all channels scanned instantly including the high frequency ones that are not piked up in the dm800.

Well it gets worse, went back to my sky channels and onl a few worked, so I rescanned and it only finds 234 channels

Would anyone be able to help out?

By the way I also tried d/c the switch and wiring back to the sky dish but still now only get 234 channels

go through the channel's that are missing and look to see are they V or H polarisation. The reason being, when I put my first diseqc switch on for 4 lnbs, I lost a lot of channels, then I noticed they were all on V. I have since found out that you should power down the box while putting on the switch. So, a different switch and a new lnb and I haven't looked back since.
