Dodgy Serial input/dm800?F

For the life of me, cant get rid of an no ca found error on an dm800 im messing around with.

Have successfuly fixed my own using the patched dreamup in the past, but this ones not for fixing. Have tried several versions of DU, including the patched one.

Have also tried every method in the numerous threads on the subject.

Have checked and dbl checked everything , usb to serial is working fine, DU finds my working dm800 no bother, just sits on 'power up dreambox' after hitting connect on the no ca box.

Anyway to test the serial port?

dont know how to check the serial port but before that I would hook it up to a pc with a com port and try it.

That had crossed my mind, only got one running XP, couple of posts suggested that would be an issue, what's the worst that could happen i suppose.

Did you try DU with working box first to get a ping then swapped to dodgy box??

Yup, DU does nothing when I press flash.

The closest I've got is it showed box type once, but didn't 'unblock' the shaded box in DU.

Really beginning to do my nut in.

Still toiling with this, tried sunray and its the exact same, picks up my working 800 and not the no ca error one.

Fkin brutal.
