Two way satellite split

Hi, i have a dm800 connected to my fixed dish for astra 28.2e, its a oldish sky dish. I have a spare box which i would like to use what do i need to do?
Do i just need a two way sat splitter or is it more conplicated then that?
Preferably the cheapest and quickest way or even a way that doesnt involve drilling!

The easiest way is to buy a dual lnb or a quad lnb and just running cable from it to your new box. I mention quad because it gives you upgrade options in the future and on fleabay sometimes the come in cheaper than a dual.

If you use a splitter then you will only be able to watch the same channels in the both rooms. e.g.

If you were watching bbc1 on the dreambox you will not be able to watch itv1 on the other set top box.

So the best thing to do will be to buy and Dual Lnb or a Quad lnb as (portbhoy) rightfully Suggested
and some cable, then run it to the second box. That will enable you to scroll and watch channels and thus not affecting the other set top box.

Yes its a sky dish it was already there when i moved, so its not the really small one.
Ok so quad lnb seems to be the way to go so how difficult is it to fix up?

not that hard

Setting up the lnb shouldn?t be hard . The main obstacles will be trying to accesses the dish. And making sure you don?t move the dish. As long as you don?t move the dish you should be fine.

All you will need to do is replace the existing sky Lnb with the new lnb. Depending on what dish you have, you may only have to pop up the pin then slid the lnb in, or there is a plastic clamp holding the lnb just needs to be screwed.

Then run the cable down to the box. Do a quick signal test to make sure everything is ok and that you haven?t moved the dish out of alignment. Then you will be good to go.
