Sim 2.01 and bootloaders question for a dm800 noob

Hello. Just moved to the dm800 and i have a question i need explaining. I have a sim 2.01 and a bootloader 76d on gemini 5.1. Now can i use any image compatible with sim2.01 or can i also use any image below 2.01 aswell i.e sim 2.0. My other question is my dm says 76d does that mean i can only use 2.01 images suitable for this 76d bootloader or all 76 bootloaders versions such as 76 A B C D, or any bootloader as long as its 2.01. freindly. Because i see other images saying i.e nabilo BH sim 2.01 bootloader 82 can i not use this because it 82 and not 76d. I would be happy if someone explained this and made a sticky version explaining bootloaders and sims for noobs.

The important thing nowadays is the sim type
Any modern sim 2.01 image will flash fine as it will update the bootloader aswell as flash it. Your box will take a 82 image fine, obviously provided its cracked for sim 2.01 .
Sim2 is the same as 2.01
Although the latest 800se have a later sim type ,
Just ensure your image is sim 2 compatible for you exact box type . Over at dreamoem. Com is a section for just sim2 images, best to use that site as all images are catogoried an verified so you can't get a wrongly identified one.
