DM800 Clone - Doesn't boot anymore after power off /on

    Hi guys !

I'm very frustrated with a dm800 clone and what I'm trying with that will be the last resort.
    What is happening is this:
After flashing any image it works, but if you power it off and on it doesn't boot! You have to flash it again and the power should not be never disconnected otherwise it needs to be flashed again.
I ordered a new eprom chip (atmel) and I try to replace it ,but I'm afraid that it will not work.
Does any body experienced such similar problem?
Any advice to check anything else before replacing the eprom ?
I have already checked the power supply and changed with another one ,but the same happened.

    Cheers!

I had one exactly the same. I opened it up and blew under the circuit board to clear any debris and it worked again

Use mulimeter and check voltage for service points.

Thanks guys for your suggestions !
The bootloader is ver 68 and sim is 2.10
I would like to start making some measurements ,but I don't have any service manual for that. Does any of you have it or a diagram schematic ?
Maybe I was not so precise in my post ,but if I leave the box without power it shows "no ca" error. That's way I suspected to eprom.

            Thanks !

No Ca Error normally means you have flashed the box with wrong sim version,ie image which says sim1 and your box is sim2.
Try now with correct image and dreamup.

                Andy.

The things are looking even strange according to the posts in this thread.
Lets assume for the moment that I have flashed the box with the wrong image. The logic result is that it will not work.
My problem is that it works, works for days I should say,but after I disconnect the power and leave it for some hours it shows the ca error.

                  thanks!

                    Hi guys!
I tried again flashing it using the following :
                    1.DreamUP_patched_by_forhike_and_natas
with serial cable on port rs232
                    2. Flashed with image :
                    sim201e_DreamEliteBH_DM800_133D_ssl76a.nfi

After flashing the system booted ok and when I try to search channels it goes to ~7% and after it reboots and it stacked no booting anymore.

While the eprom atmel I ordered has arrived and I'm going to change ,but I'm feeling that it will not work again.
Definitely is not worth to buy HD dbox clones. The only exception I think was 500s which performed almost as the original.

                    Cheers!

                      Try this:

I had the same problem with my DM800 clone. It had a Ferrari sim and used to work fine. But sometimes every 4-5 weeks or so, when in standby mode or after its turned off and you turn it on again it wont boot until you reflash it. I couldnt fix it and it didnt matter which image I installed. I originally purchased from lunixsat.co.uk a while ago. I think they have rebranded the company now, so not sure what they are like now. However, the clone I got from Linuxsat wasnt the best

                        Regards

you can get that fault from tuner prob /

remove tuner reflash and see if it boots ok
