Im a real newbie here
ive got a dreambox 800HD PVR with nablosat\blackhole and Enigma 2 installed.
1. how can i tell if i have a genuine box? i have downloaded the genuine plugin and enter the letters on the website but it doesnt tell me anything so im none the wiser.
2. How can i tell what versions of the software i have installed (blackhole, Nablosat, Enigma 2) - how can i find out if they are up to date and how do i go about upgrading?
3. I am trying to view mkv files from the hard drive of my DB and on forums says vlc should be installed - looked in the plugins and it is but when i try and play back the file the box crashes and restarts itself. ive done a command line search of the box for vlc.xml but it doesnt exist and so ive tried adding a server with the remote but that doesnt work - what am i doing wrong? I heard with some images you dont need to do all the vlc stuff - which ones?
