just got 2 800hd se from china

i powered it up and it came on with and i was looking around the menu and i came across updates so i pressed it , it dl and installed some things but now the box says no ca error,
now i have searched and found the fix for that but not tried it yet..

on the other box i guess it doesnt come ?.

does it load up as per sticky (how to flash ur 800)?

i was going to add an image , then put in sgt filpflop bouquet

is there anything else i need to do after that?

Just add a decent image and make sure its for a clone se box and configure your tuner and then add the bouquets

ok got flash on (nemesis 2-3 ramimaher, done tuner 2 astra, ut in stg flip flop and i can see thats workin right

i put in gift

not clearin as i cant find were to turn it from cas

also i went to do another image through my wem browers and it came up with dreambox webcontrol

not to sure what that is but looks like stg flip flops bit

I did exactly the same thing on y newly arrived box from china.

Was messing around after doing the scan, it came with the russian image.

Pressed on updates and next thing gone, same as you ca error.

Sorted it out with the fix and got box running again but now on a lot of channels shows tune faile even though tuner is configuered correctly.

Anybody shed some light on why it gets CA error when you do a software update and tuner fail after as it seems to have happened to a few and maybe should have a warning not to update.

Soz cant answer your gift bit as I havent done that yet.

read the tuts carefully and dont use the web img update as this is for original boxs and doesnt include the ssl. dont worry about the webcontrol appering just switch your box off again and press the standby button to get the ip addy and flash your new img again.you dont turn the gift on as such you need to go to the addons panel d/l c**am 2.2.1 or newcamd if your using that and then ftp your config file in, when done go to a pay channel and restart the cam and it should clear. regards mdt

The online update is for original boxes only, as it will update an un hacked original image . Tune failed afterwards is your settings need updating after reflashing hacked image

Thanks for clearing that up. What I have found after is now It shows an error everytime I want to flash another image on can only flash image via the hacked flashup/dreamup, normal dreamp wont connect.

Once you have your receiver working with a patched image for your sim then the best way to flash another image is via web browser.

Remember only flash a dm800 image that is made for your sim card in your dm800.

The image you linked to is not for a DM800SE it is for a SIM 2.01 clone or genuine DM800.

A DM800SE clone utilises a SIM 2.10. I would hazard a guess that at best you may get a NO CA Error using it.

Or have you used it successfully on a DM800SE?

Yeah I have it on mine, There was a newer image but DVD-S2 channels didn't work
