tried a different provider and its still glitchy so it looks like it is the tuner...

          from my description:
          -------------------
          8SBE2-410A

          901941G

          MADE IN JAPAN
          --------------------

can we identify if this is a J/M tuner?

          thx

the tuner you have is rev L
which gave a lot of glitching problems particularly on the channels you mentioned

the rev M tuner is the 801A costs about ?40

you may perhaps need to think about selling the box and purchasing a new dm800hd from china as a few on this forum have done
do a search on the forum for prices from china

so after trying different providers etc, its still glitchy so im 90% sure its the tuner (thanks to members for assisting with this)

so i spoke with the guys in the shop i bought it from and said that the tuner is crap.. only 3 weeks old, should have new tuner in.

they said bring it in and they will fit new tuner etc.

its currently a 401a (from sticker information i provided earlier) - do i want to ask him for a 801a? or is there some sort of other tell/mark/name i need to ask for?

                thanks

mine is the Dreambox DM800s HD PVR

does the 801 still apply to this box?

and is the 401 the L tuner?

                    thanks

are they going to change the tuner for free (they should do)
as it is only 3 weeks old
if so tell them to fit the rev M 801A

so the guys says he has put a M tuner in now and it seems a little better, still glitches now and again but my SNR is down to 40% - is this normal?
