    advice plz?
Just done aa pro box for a mate and on my motorised set up nearly all channels were 100% snr so sounds like your dish is off or the tuner is shagged.
Try and tweak your long and lat that might help.

best plan for lat/long to do a google check for them and insert into box?

im sure SNR was higher before getting tuner replaced.. (not 100% though :-/ )

Sometimes if you have a signal you can changed either the long or lat to compensate for the misalignment in the dish.
Not sure which one it is though but i know a guy who had similar results and his went from about 40 to the 90s just by tweaking one of them and rebooting, its worth a go.

          Hi andy,

          thanks for info..

not really clued up on the dish or the box, ive tried setting long/lat in the positioner setup etc to my long/lat etc but not great..

ive noticed my snr has gone down to about 20 now - i assume this is to do with the dish.

but i took my box to mates to test and i get snr of 70ish, problem - its still glitchy

now i seem to have two problems..

          thoughts please gentlemen?

First thing depending on where your mate lives his long and lat will differ from yours.
If in the same area it wont make that much difference and if you didnt change it,it looks like your dish is the main problem.
Personally i would try it on a static sky set up and see what snr you get on 28.2,this might tell you if it is a dish or box problem and the long and lat wont matter cos its a fixed dish.

            Andy.

Ahh - Andy - my mate lives round corner and he is using static sky dish - achieiving the 70ish SNR..

when i re-flashed box i had to setup tuner settings myself (this is probably my problem)

on the TUNER should i be using simple>positioner or should i be using disqec AB or ABCD or something else?

              thanks for help

Hi Andy - mine is like that but with the Long/Lat of my house..

i dont have the tone ampitude though.. so could my dish be off - only getting 20-30% snr - was getting 70 a week or two ago (im quite sure)

also - if the box is still glitching should i get it replaced etc?

Best thing you can do is get your ladder out and with a mobile phone in hand and someone at the other end skew the lnb and see if that helps with the snr.
Sounds like the dish is slightly offline and it only takes a knats cock to be out.
What i did with mine was get a permanent marker and circle round the nuts holding the motor on the bracket and move it a millimetre and have someone at the other end of the phone line telling you if the snr goes completely or gets better but mark the fixings so you have a starting point.
If not get asat man in to fine tune it.

                    Andy.

First thing i would do is grab the lnb and skew it before i go slackening any bolts but only takes millimetres for it to be out.

                        Andy.

Sits at the end of the dish.
