    DM800 config.sys file

While trying to edit a file in /etc on my dm800 clone but I accidently deleted the contents of config.sys in the same folder. Can anybody give me a copy of the config.sys file, from memory I think there was only one line of text in it. I was using Dcc to do the edit on a dream elite black hole image. Tried to get a copy but a friends dm800 clone with same image does not have a config.sys file.

First of all try saying hi in the introduce me section,it goes a long way.
If you have your sub details just do a simple reflash only takes a few mins and put the other stuff in afterwards.

Hi Andy, sorry I missed the whole introduce yourself section. I was hoping to avoid reflasing as I said I'm new to dreamboxes and it took forever to get it setup to the point that I have it at now. Is there some way to take a complete image from the DM800, reflash it, copy the config.sys file to my pc, put my image back on and copy in the config.sys file then?

Thats something i dont know mate, someone with more knowledge than me might be able to help.
All i know it takes 2 mins to flash a box through web browser.
2 mins to add bouquets and a few minutes to download ccams and reboot and activate.
Personally i would flash it again so i know its right.

Hi, I got a test cline (a world of new problems there thanks to my Cisco BB router) and even with a blank config.sys file everything seems to be OK now, epg and picons save to a USB pen drive and I can timeshift and record to my NAS. I think its time to leave well enough alone now. Thanks for your help.

Thanks southpaw, but its the config.sys not the syslog.conf file that I am missing. Not to worry though everything is still working, even without the config.sys file contents.
