Dilema 800SE arrived today but broadband down :O

My 800SE arrived today from China but my broadband stopped working yesterday, BT are sending out a engineer on Friday.

My mobile phone allows USB tethering and also can work as a Wifi Hotspot.

Is there anyway I can use the connection from my mobile to connect the SE to the net.

I tried this on my samsung galaxy s2, made a wifi hotspot, had wireless stick in dm800, picked it up connected but channels didnt work, but the addons manager worked and epg downloading worked though

Well BT engineer is out tomorrow so hopefully be back up and running tomorrow, but i dont have much faith in BT

i know what you mean mate, but they are the ones who look after the lines so no choice.

hopefully its something simple and they can sort it for you quick.

So far loving it, stays super cool, the speed of it makes the Pro look like a puddle of pish . from booting up to loading up a video from the hard drive, so much more room inside it as well and the docking tray for the hard drive is a superb idea instead of having to use the sata wires. It also seems so much more responsive.

Still the Allrussian image that was preinstalled in it mate, but going to go with Golden OpenPLi mate looks good.

Does the extra 100mhz stop the picture freezing and glitching when browsing through the menus and EPG?

Tested the new nemisis 2.3 on my pro and hated it. its just a case of trial and error.

Funny you should mention that its something i never thought about but i have not seen it doing that.

I've noticed that it doesn't do it at all on FTA channels. So you may not know for definite until you internet's back up and running again.

Will definitely buy one if this problem is solved!

Will let you know mate once my net is back up and running.

I dont really find that to be much of a problem anyway if i didnt buy the SE and heard that it didnt cause that small glitch during EPG use and so on, it wouldnt make me go out and buy one.

But the speed of the se really is impressive, i thought people were just exaggerating, but nope it is impressive.
