    dm800hd booting so far?

    Hi All,

Was wondering if anyone had any tips for me. I just bought a DM800HD clone for my brother and I put the Blackhole Enigma 2 image on it and it was fine for a week then it stopped booting.

So I then reflashed with what I thought was a better image but then to get 'no ca error' So I fixed that with a patched dreamup and reflased Blackhole Enigma2 back on and it boots up to the Nabilio splash screen then it just goes black and OLED screen goes black, this is about after 10 seconds??

Stumped now.... I can still access the STOP screen and web browse easy enough.

Its #72 loader not sure on SIM card? Any ideas?

I was thinking I may have corrupted the first bootloader, is that possible?

Can you upgrade the #72 part?

    Thanks in advance...

most images (but not all) have the bootloader included.
Yes you can flash the bootloader in exactly the same way you do the full image - it only takes a few seconds.
    Try this ******

Hi, Thanks for replying... so there is one listed there as an NFI file so can I do that one through the web browser at the STOP screen or is this different?

Normally has a sticker underneath saying sim2 or something similar.
If its sim2 put DreamElite Blackhole on it,its similar to what you had and is a great image.
Will pm a good youtube guide.

Thanks.. I'm starting to think this is a hardware fault. Every image I try I get to the same point, about 15secs into boot then it either reboots or the OLED screen goes off and the red LED but the fan is still running inside??

Thats the 5th image I tried and all the same...

Remove the tuner and try it again, you will still be able to access menus. I just want to see if it is the tuner/drivers that may be causing the problem. Or it may be a PSU problem.

The bootloader is also quite old, but try as said above first.

OK thanks for the reply. Just took the tuner out and it boots to the same time and just stops.

I don't know how to flash the bootloader? I have the file but how does it know in the web interface that it is for the bootloader and not the complete image? I hope I make sense

oh... I'm using the psu from my dm800hd so I guess thats ok as mine is fine.. is a sim 2.01 at least thats what it says on the card

Just flash the bootloader via the web interface as you would an image, make sure it is correct one for your clone.

ok, thanks for all your help. flashed the bootloader and its exactly the same.

using a good psu so it has to be hardware. Gonna try and send back... wish me luck

Was gonna say take out the tuner and put it back but Satsmo beat me to it.
Other than take the sim out i dont think theres much more you can do mate.
Just unlucky cos most clones seem to be ok.
Good luck with sending it back.

Dont suppose you know how to boot it from a usb drive? Just noticed on the web interface you can select this and it looks for the autoexec on the usb drive?
