hd clone tuner failed

hi having sudden problems with dreambox
turned on tonight no channels at all switched off at mains for 10 mins ,got all channels again ? only for about 5 mins then same again tuner failed on all channels, put power adapter in freezer for 5 mins switched on again recieved all channels again for much longer 25 mins ,to me not tuner but power supply failure? any thoughts guys

power supply is the cheaper option so try that first mate

ok update once again tuner fail message appears after 2 hours viewing ,after refreeze it gives me another few hours looks like power supply overheating will order new one, hope this helps anyone else with similar,,,,,

How hot is the Dreambox getting?
Why dont you try one of them coolers for it to sit on it could be your Dreambox overheating and not the psu.

hi andy it sits on a cooler ,doubt its dreambox as its running cool,it only works when i freeze power adapter and that gets really hot in a few hours,

just an update ordered new psu ,just as well as old one gave up the ghost on sunday ,new one fitted with another external cooler , all ok again

good one m8. but as temp solution to psu probs ..hope it helps someone else?? also better checking this first as they are cheap crap got new one on ebay hope its better quality?

Glad you sorted mate,the psu are probably the worst things about Dreamboxes.
