Sending backl to china.. am i gonna get stung?

    Hi all,

I have a faulty DM800 clone and I have been asked to send it back. Does anyine know of an insured way to get it back following from this email I receved back from them. I think they are concerned about customs charges but it all sounds dodgy to me.

So I have to ask you return the faulty dm800 to us for replace.
pls return the faulty receiver to us follow address:

    Address is here

pls shipping the faulty items by EMS (or nornal post) , Don't use courier like DHL/TNT/UPS/FEDEX.
Beacuse we will meet troubles when China custom clearance by this couriers.

We are going to replace it to you as soon as the faulty arrived.

I can vaguely remember buying one from china and them asking just to send the inside part of it rather than the whole box but that just may be the dm500 cant remember

What's wrong with the box? AS already stated we maybe able to help you identify the problem and therefore the part rather than the entire box.

Just found your other thread, have you tried examining the SIM connector (i.e. is it properly soldered in) and have you tried reseating the SIM itself?

Yeah i've done loads of troubleshooting with it. Everything has been out and tuner changed with a known working one..

Gonna see if I can just send back m/board instead then..

                            Send it back.

                            Hi,
I received a dreambox 800 HD and was faulty so returned it to china via trackable delivery option at the post office.
Took pictures while packing the dream box and whilst at the post office after the parcel was stamped. Kept the receipts of the postage safe and opened a dispute with pay pal.
Paypal verified that the item reached china and refunded all the money.
As for customs you will have to return the item to china with the same amount as you were invoiced when you received the box.
                            Hope this helps.
