amyone get glitches when Pause DM800 with fitted hard drive ?

Hi, i was wondering do people get glitches when they pause and resume, i have a DM800 pro, with a 250gb 5400rpm 2.5inch drive, is it just to much for it to cope with, i guess when you pause its recording on to hd, then when you resume its playing it back while also continuing to record as well causing glitches, i notice it happens on sly sports hd, others channels even hd are on lesser bitrate so can cope must be the higher bitrate on sly hd channels ?

this common on DM800, what its like on DM800se,

    regards

its ok on rest channels, just the higher bitrate sly ones, its a Seagate 250gb 7200rpm 16mb so its higher then usual 2.5 inch drives

I used to get this mate, if I was say `catching up' after pausing a channel it would glitch, again - only on HD stuff. I solved the problem.. just by watching the program.

Couldn't suss it out in the end so gave up!

Looking to get a dm800se soon, so will try on that, see if its the box not powerfull enough, seems alot of stress on hard drive when resuming you viewing from hd and at same time its writing to disk specially on high bitrate hd channel

the sub sly boxes seems to cope well what cpu in that ? guess faster as they dual tuner,

          Thanks for your response

only recorded in sd so that might be your problem

hi, ya i have that installed, but would you want it running all the time constant writing to drive cant be good, i turn it off, only use drive when timed to record, so its on standby most time

tbh mate....i don't see much probs. it's good to be able to rewind when you want. and i don't really see any effect on my box. i restart once a week.

i tried a different version of that plugin (0.6 or something) before and it was bogus freezing and random booting.

this one has no issues for me

give it a go and let me know

also hdd on laptops and computers are constantly being written to anyway so it shouldn't really be a problem.

That updated prermanent timeshift plugin still slows down general browsing on the box. I'm using the OpenPLi image.

I've noticed it on every image I've used, so don't think it's that.
