problems with new DM800se box

hi all, i recieved my dm800se over the weekend, i plugged it in and turned it on and on the screen it said enigma. would this come up on a brand new box or have i been given a used one? also when i try to configure the tuner it says there isn't one, so that means the tuner is knackered right? thirdly, i am right in thinking that the dm800se hd 2.10 is a clone? sorry for all the questions, this is my first step into satellite boxes. thanks for your patience.

enigma2 is not an indication of a used box , all dm800 images run on enigma2 , so not an issue there

tuner , press menu > setup > service searching > tuner config > then use "ok" and "right arrow" to configure it

sim2.10 is dreambox clone

hi, thanks for the reply. i tried that but nothing happens ive have also flashed it with about 4 different images from the download section dated 22nd sept in case i had a bad flash but still nothing. jo-jo i paid ?197 delivered.

does it say "no tuner" or "not configured"

have you uploaded a channels list. and thgen done what southpaw said and menu-setup-service searching-tuner configuration-ok on the tuner. (DO U SEE TUNER A: BCMXXX ( DVB-S2)

if you see that then, you do have a tuner and just needs to be configured. ask away if u need help doing so...

agree , try dismantling and re-seating the tuner , chack for damage whilst your there

lets hope the tuner is in there southpaw .......this would be the first instance of it not being in there if that was the case. i'm assuming it was uk as you paid ?197.

check and make sure you have a tuner in there and we will help you out from there mate.

you will need to download dreambox edit - so you can upload channels list...theres a few on the form.

just opened it up, the tuner wasn't fully seated. sorted now, i selected simple from the configuration menu and now scanning 59% 292 channels some look duplicate tho. thanks for the response guys. ill pick your brains again after the scan

i glad someone hadn't swiped the tuner and you want change that waiting for 800se to having it large with an 800se
