    dm800se memory

    hi,

trying to set everything up on my new dm800se, i'm using image newnigma2 v3.2.2-v2
it seems to take forever to load up after a restart, just checked the memory and it says it only has 3800 left out of a possible 137472, would this be the reason?
how would i check what is using all my memory, i did load flash expander to help but all this is very new to me, used to have a dm600pvr and once it was set up it was just left alone.
i've got coolmanstv, cross epg and cccam running.
one more question, if i put a new image on will it clear out all my memory so i can start again?

    thanks in advance

my box is using 131mb of 134mb memory....not causing no issues. only using 45mb of the available 60mb of flash memory.

i find the more flash memory available the better the box performs.

i also use the other newnigma image in downloads...uses less flash and i don't have any green screens now since using that image.

but saying all that, my box never took more than15-20secs to boot up even with the image you are running mate.

do a factory reset and then flash new image and install your bits.

      loading sorted.

thanks, i've sorted the loading issue, it was something to do with me trying to mount a network last night so i could stream mkv files, i had to delete a automounts.xml in enigma2.
when adding the flash expander plugin would you do that before you add your epg plugins or does it not matter? I have a 640gb hard drive installed.
also where do you find how much of your flash memory you are using.
sorry for all the questions, but i really like things to run smoothly and quickly, the picture quality on the dm800se in HD is amazing so i'd like to do it justice.
