original tuner issue

have a bit of an issue on one of my dm800's

the tuner sint working, the box knows the tuner is there but the tuner is getting no snr agc or ber or any of the others.

i decided to stick the cable in to the other loop through on the tuner and i got a sligh rise in ber as the middle copper cable goes in to the hole then as soon as the outer bit touches the screw bit on the tuner it dissapears

what does this mean, is the tuner screwed? i was thinking a bad earth so i wrapped it up and re seated it but no joy

any chance your dish been moved accidently? do you have another tuner you can try with that box? also do other boxes work with that cable, whenever iv had this problem its always been the cable and just needed a lot of fiddling about before it would catch a signal
