DM800 has a perfect picture but no audio

Ive just flashed 2 dm800's for my mate and got his boxes setup over the weekend. One of the boxes is working fine, the other has a perfect picture but no audio. Ive tried it via a scart cable and the audio works fine. I tried his dvi cable on the other box and it works fine. Ive checked the setting in the a/v setup page and they all seem to be fine. Anyone had this prob before. I tried google and it seems its a common prob but cant really find a way to fix the issue.

    Thanks.

Cheers for the reply mate. Ive tried the same dvi cable on another dm800 and it works fine so i know its defo box issue. I also tried another box on the same tv to rule out a falut with the tv. its got me stumped. From what ive found its a common fault but cant find a fix.

It might be the HDMI connection on the tv, I had a similar issue, support the weight of the cable with a cable tie or similar. Worth a shot.

Ive got 2 boxes & 2 cables. I box has lost audio via the dvi cable but it works with a scart cable fine. The 2 dvi cables work fine on the box with audio which rules out a faulty dvi cable. Ive also tried them on another hdmi port on the tv and its still the same.

I get this quite alot on my Dreambox and i have to pull the dvi lead in and out to get it to work.
Its like a bad earth or something but it does come back on.
Also there is an option to change dvi/pc to standard dvi in the av menu.

                  Andy.
