DM800se - Flashing green tuner light?

So.. after setting up my new DM800se on Sunday all has been fine and dandy with no probs. Got up this morning to see the spinner on the screen and not letting me change channels etc, the channel that it crashed on was still running no probs. I hate having to do it, but the only option was turning it off at the power on the box. I turned it off and back on again and bang, nothing. On the box itself nothing on the screen, just the green light on the tuner flashing away. Sunray Flash-up wont detect anything at all, wierd. So I dont know why but I tried changing the power supply and hey ho - all works straight away.

Im confused though, if the PSU had gone then why would it just cause it to crash as such and not turn off the box? Im hoping it is a case of just the PSU and not the box.

Can anyone shed any light (not green though) on this?

    Hi

Sometimes if the psu is sort of knackered it will do that, sometimes the green light and the lcd will pulsate as well.

This is caused by the psu not dishing out the correct voltages due to it being part f**ked which is why sometimes the images loads partially and crashes.

Resolved by new psu as you have found out.

    Regards
