Ordered Dreambox DM800se

Hi lads,

Faffing about too long trying to decide what to buy.

Got up this morning and thought...to hell with this.

Took the plunge and ordered my dreambox.

What I need to know now is....what cables do I need for it?

Think maybe USB to 232 plug (female) . Is this correct if loading from laptop ?

tbh mate , if you check what your loading you wont need any additional cables , the rs232 connection is used when ~~~~ ups are made , its your back-door if you flash a dodgy image , check what your flashing (if yaoxin bought box it will be sim2.10) and you be fine without extra cables , only cable/connection you do need is ethernet cable

no it'll probs come preflashed.. it no longer has a rs232 port but a mini usb ... use sunray to flash bootloader.. then u put box in dhcp mode.. (holding power in whilst switching on)


then flash over network using 192 page

didnt realise it never had rs232 connection , just checked mine and your correct , only has mini usb for recovery

DM800SE

Hello all. I'm new to this and hoping to make some new friends and learn a bit too.

I've just ordered a Clone DM800SE from ebay. I hope this was a good choice??

As far as I have read, I need to download and install a suitable image for this. I'm looking for advice on which image and installation instructions.

Also looking to setup ccam (i believe) this is what its called.

I'm using an old sky dish with dual lbn

its okay buying from china but you would have import tax to pay on top of the price quoted or maybe had it removed by customs who seem to work with dream stopping clones coming into some ports in uk, buying from uk is safer option, good box you will get many years of happy viewing with it

cccam can be downloaded via tspanel (although there is more to it than downloading the cam , you will need something to go in the config)

there are many who have received theirs without the import duty etc.

some have now canged their box name from dreambox to avoid any issues with being confiscated as well.

but it's ok if you got it and your happy that's the main thing.

with regards to setting up the box.................just hit the search and you will see all the fixes for pretty much any problems you may come across...........and if you don't find what ur looking for....just post and a;l here are pleased to help.

ulimately though.....you wiull have to pay about to get it to how you want it. everybody has different tastes an all that...

Very nice is has the dreambox logo on the front etc but clearly is a clone

I plugged everything in and fiddled with the menus to select 28.2 Astra (old sky dish) and ran a scan.

Picked up hundreds of channels.

Its running enigma 2 OS

Couple of questions

1. Can I keep enigma 2 OS, just install Ccam and setup?

2. What is SIM201 exactly and how can I find out what my box has as I cant find any ref to in on the specs?

you can just install cccam and away you go. also the sim will be 210 and not 201. not heard of any 800se coming sim201 mate.
