new diseqc motor setup to dm800se

had to get new motor due to old one beening stuck what i cant really remember is were do i start

new motor is technomate 2300

i know the closest sat to me is thor0.8w/1w but whats bugging me is do i start with motor at 0 and find thor 0.8w/1w while moving the motor while dish is fixed at 0 then iv got all working once i find signal or do i star motor at 0.8w/1w and find signal moving motor then once get signal i have all Sat's if it makes sences

i would usals. easiest way to get it working. as long as your dish is aligned correctly....just stick your longitude and latitude in .....and away you go. it will find the sats for you.

iv tryed usals but im about 2 degrees off thats why i wanted to know how to setup motor as i set it up using 0 and finding thor 0-8w/1w so im thinking i need to move motor to thor 0-8w/1w and then trying find signal again

that's easy mate....compnsate by changing your usals setting by the amount you are off by.

i'm about .9 degrees off and get 100% snr .

just keep changing you long settings till you get you signal how you want it.

ok so my latitude 51.4492026 and longitude is -0.4434974

can you please explain what u mean by compensate i think i know what u mean just been sure

depends which way u are off by. eg. you would put longitude as 0.643 west (- means west) and lat waould be 51.449.

if the signal gets weaker...change the figure the other way round. (make it 0.24 west....and so on)
