newbie questions

Hi everyone have been getting a 800hd se SIM 2.1. Its came with the all russian image on it and it and have a few questions that i hope can help me set it up.

Im using my old SLY Dish and have plugged in box and carried out the non usals sticky and am recieving FTA channels.

How do you store channels in my favorites?

Can i flash the box by putting a the Sat4fun-newnigma2_DM800SE-Sim2_ssl84 on a usb pen drive if so is there a program i need to install first using the usb drive?(Waiting for 2 powerline adapters to arrive as i only have two at the minnute, 1 for router and computer)

Do Winrar images/progs have to be extracted first?

Any help would be appreciated

Hi,first i would stay with that image for a while until you're used to the box its a good image.
Second yes you can flash that image you use the webbrowser as instructed
In the stickies.
third you need to use dream edit to edit your bouquets and make the favorites.

Im unable to use the web browser until my powerline adapters arrive.
Can i put dream edit on a usb drive and install it from the usb drive on to the dreambox?

You put dream edit on you computer and then put bouquets in and edit them

Cheers just going to have to wait until my powerline adapters turn up.
Is there no other way to store a favorite. for eg just using the romote?

Yes buts its a long job.
You need to turn on dreambox
press bouquet button
go on channel you want to add to favorite
then press menu when channel list is on and you should see another box that says add service to bouquet
Highlight that and press it
you should now have a channel list with 1 channell on it
Repeat for all your channels
that's it

thanks just managed to figure it out. Will put a few favorites on for now.

You can also edit them to put them in thfe order you want them in just go on channel in favorites press menu then select move and there you go
