    800se fan noise

The fan seems to be running at full speed most of the time is there a speed control or some software to modify the speed.
Fan is quite loud compared tp slyhd+ box even my missus commented on the noise.

If fan gets to noisy just unplug it and sit dreambox on a laptop cooler like I have ,works a treat

i have image nemesis version 2.3 and in the system menu it has a menu for controlling the speed of this fan, which is very handy.

Trouble with that is if you turn it down to much the box will overheat

To be honest I've found the noise from the fan neglible on the SE. Very very quiet fan indeed. You can hear it a tiny bit when the TV is on mute but while watching its completely inaudible.

Maybe you guys just got noisy ones! :-o

my dm800se fan is so quite you need put your ear against box to hear it also have a notebook cooler under it might be why but you can also change fan setting in the menu depending image you have i have dmm dreamelite 2.0
It is always wise to look ahead, but difficult to look further than you can see.

my fan is not there....i don't think. never been heard at all. the only one is the usb fan underneath which...you can just about hear late at night with tv on mute.

running at 2950 - 3072rpm at 35-39degrees. rpm goes up and down according to temperature.

i got box sitting on ps3 inside a cabinet...when the ps3 is on everything gets hot .

the fan is quieter than a mouse ...very impressed.

must admit I was suprised how quiet the fan is and how cool it runs.Take the lid off and make sure nothing has goy caught in it or that the fan is loose

Seems the all russian image set the fan speed at 5800rpm @ 25 degs have managed to reduce it to 4600rmp. its still audiable but will have to to until i flash next week.
