EPG on DM800

Hi all

I have a DM800 with Nabilosat installed on it connected to 28e, can somebody let me know how I find and install an EPG, also I believe it is better to put it on a USB flash drive, is this correct?

install crossepg...either from tspane or attached ftp to /tmp and then install manually and restart. you will then find crossepg under setup menu. configure in there.....download the epg for the sat you require. i find opentv for 28.2e sat is best.

you are right in having usb or hdd to download epg to.

i haven't used your image......try find where you can do manual install. normally in the blue button panel...manul ipk install,,,offline installer...file browser.....something like that

Go to menu / setup and you should be able to see it there, then you configure crossepg and away you go.........as stated use opentv for 28.2e.

Having a few epg trouble myself not sure if its an image probem.
Ive set up crossepg and tried to use opentv.
All downloads and get the parsing bit yet when i go to select bouquet for epg its still empty.
Like i said it recognises the usb stick and i get it to save data,convert data but no epg.
Doing my head think i might try another image.

Have you restarted the box ? also if you have used cross epg previously and it as set been up using the rytec ect, disable those previous settings and also in configuration setup you can make the download start with your chosen provider ie: opentv, if you dont do that it will conflict with your new settings, it took me a while to sort that out.

Yes and no ive tried it all ways including it saying usb stick usb 2 and hdd and with different providers but just tried opentv and nothing.
Only thing im not certain about is what the setings are in configure

Not sure if you got the last bit as i had to edit , but in crossepg you need to disable all previous settings, and there is a page there that lets you start download with your chosen provider, when i get home i will check the settings again and post up.

This is a different image so started froom fresh.
Only thing im not sure about is there are a few versions of crossepg.

Formatting usb stick again and remapping it and will try again.
All this bit seems fine it recognises the usb stick but somehow its not saving nothing.
In Dcc should the usb stick be recognised? Mine is saying usb not found im wondering if thats the problem?
Edit Dcc has found usb so might be onto something

I know you like the DE images. Might be worth a change to PLI. I have 2 800 pro's, 1 using mfaraj57 latest and the other using gstroom beta, both downloaded from OEM site, as you know is down at the mo but I am sure can be obtained from elsewhere. Both images have no issues with any plugins, and the 7day cross epg works fine (download plugin from pli server) configure it with a few reboots, give it a try at least it will keep you busy for the night.

This is for my Ferrai box,i might go to Pli i put it on a mates box cos he had issues with Dreamelite rebooting and it sorted it.
He said it was a bit basic but nice and stable so probably worth a change.
