Dm800 pro rev m glitching problem

Hi ya guys, I think i already know the answer but i thought it would be best to get some other peoples opinions. I have a dm800hd pro with the rev m tuner and on all FTA HD channels the snr is 100% and I have no glitching however on paid channels like Dave HD, Comedy Central HD, ESPN HD, Sky Sports 1 HD the snr is around 55-70% and i seem to get quite frequent glitching. Is this just a server issue or could it be a box or dish problem ? I think the problem is the server but i wanted to be sure before I complain as it is hard to find a good server these days. Thanks in advance for any replies or advice, Rob

if your using a payserver then i would say thats the problem
but if you have been on it for some time with no problems
and it's on a forum check and see or ask if anyone else is having
any problems. also do you have a skin like glass that shows the ecm time
thats gives a clue to why it's glitching

Yeh its a payserver (i know thats a bad idea), ive been to their forum and not noticed many people complaining about sky uk but there is a few. Yeh ive got domica 8.0 with a hd glass skin and the ecm times fluctuate between 100 msecs to as high as 700 msecs when it is glitching so im guessing that means its a server problem as my internet is working fine and when i do packet loss tests i get 100% Grade A. Anything else I can check or do u think it is a server issue cos of the ecm times ?

Def a server issue, payservers get greedy and oversubscribe resulting in the loss of quality for everyone, also are the channels your receiving hop 1 or hop 2?

Not sure mate as it is quite easy to make to cards look local even if they are not, im guessing they are hops 1. Well it looks like im gonna have to find another server which is always fun . Wish me luck lads. Thanks for the replies and if anyone has any other suggestions/advice it would be appreciated. Cheers, Rob

I have had numerous servers and always have had some glitching, there are other considerations ie weather, sat dish alignment may have slightly moved or may not be set perfectly.waj_uk send me details and i will test your server.

Yeh I understand that some glitching is inevitable due to bad weather, dish alignment etc but my glitching seems to be server related due to the poor ecm times im getting recently. I tried another box on the same server and it glitches. Also I just got an hour test from someone else to see if it is definitely a server issue (not my internet connection) and it must be the server cos the ecm times improved dramatically and so did the glitching. Ive heard ecms need to be below 400-500 msecs for the glitching to not be bad, on the server im on at the moment the ecms fluctuate from 100 msecs to 800 msecs which is way too slow. If anyone knows of a good share for sly uk please pm me. Cheers guys, Rob

With your signal being low on the non-FTA channels, I would suggest you look at the Dish as well. I know it's very easy to blame the server and it could easily be the problem but the low signal would be where I start.
