no mate there is a sim 2.10 model and a ferrari model
i honestly dont know anything about the sim 2.10 but
i have seen a ferrari sim dm800hd and that was very good
and i would think both are as good as each other. but users
will give you there views on them,

I use Ferrari DM800se box (for developping my DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4), and working very well.

In fact both hardware are copy of the original, so means same box at the end. Only sim and software differences... some like to change images and rename images, others update only once every image... this justify the quantity, but not quality ;o).

I have very good experience with my box, and I am happy of the forum supporting it. The other team forum is just inexistent... support is also this.

i hve only used sim2 boxes and have a sim210 800se. great!!!

sim 2.10 all day long much more support and all the top image creators are all for sim2

as boubles says , no problems with ukdreamshop , if you want to buy from uk that is ,
and as for which sim type , well sim2.10 wins hands down , the dreamelite that toysoft refers to for ferrari sim is a 1.4 image and almost a year old now

I have all sim2 products since two years and i do not have any harware problem since that time even minor
and look around and you will notice regarding the software support who is better ferrari or sim2
just to mention that ferrari till now is using old drivers 15-12-2010 while sim2 is using latest original driver 2-9-2011 which means better quality in contrast,resolution,plugins compatibility and accepting new original softwares
also sim2 have all latest bootloaders 84 while ferrari still keeping old ssl82
sim2 is supporting users everwhere while ferrari supporting users in single closed poor forum
however sim2 supporting forum closed temporarily and within 10 days will be opened again
also ferrari always copied sim2 softwares starting from ferrari addons manager(copied from Tunisiasat addons manager) and ending with the ssl(copy from sim2 ssl84) will be released in this November(as ferrari promised but rarely do what they promised )

hi guys thanks for the info still new to this so was not sure because i asked a seller on ebay if his was sim 210 and he said yes its ferrari sim 210. so confused even more?. so when looking for a box do i ask the seller if the sim is sim210.

drivers:called patched drivers 2-9-2011 but the most important file bcm7401.ko dated back to 15-12-2010
addons manager:Ferrari addons manager(copy of Tuisiasat addons manager)
original images compatibility:Original should be modified and enigma2 files replaced by old ones before flashing to ferrari

image proved the date of driver bcm7401.ko file in patched drivers of ferrari 2-9-2011

Interesting thread and still getting my head round all this.

Sim 2.01 and Sim 2.10 are not the same then?

Can ALL Sim 2.01 images be used on Sim 2.10?

No KO at all, just arguments that are not trustable... as there is many others he didn't quoted that are not true.

He prefers not to talk about the sim2 DM800se boxes going dead, hundreds on the past weeks...

The fact that all latest DM800se sim2 boxes are going dead, you can read some threads around and the sim2 people are in big shit... as you will need to replace few parts on the DM800se sim2 motherboard to fix them. The sim2 DM800se go off and never turn on again, OLED screen stays black etc...

DM800se Ferrari are working properly... and don't go dead as the sim2.

I prefer to do the best to the user and not to the manufacturer as it seems some people do.

Enjoy buying sim2 boxes going dead, your trust will soon understand that it was used using wrong infos.

And if you really know... older drivers are often much better, as new ones have most of the time only more bugs ! So better to have a stable image with good drivers than a bad image because drivers are shit. Remember that they also used the same way and give their users same patched drivers with various versions mixes, when they done it, it was gold, when other do it, it's shit... funny way to see the same thing.

SSL ? Funny, they are surely not the owners of it, as they stole it from Dream trying to patch it badly... see... SSL84 then 84a, when will we have a good working version ?

Anyway, I loved to see them trying to use my image DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4 with sim 2.10, so looks like they steal also from other Team... mjaraf, again one more thing you didn't talked about (ask your friend satgr).

To the original poster...

You can probably tell by now that there is some differences.

Both work.
Both have support.
Both have fanboys.

sim2 seems to get images faster and most people on here seem to import the sim2 version. Which personally leads me to believe there is more support for it.

Which ever you choose I am sure you will be quite happy.
