Diseqc 1.2 on DM 800

Guys a little bit of help please. As you can see from my signature I have an Openbox s9 and DM800. Currently the Openbox drives my Alsat positioner to move the dish. Thinking of changing that to the DM800 and doing away with the Openbox. The question I have is do I need to set up each individual sat on the DM800 using the full process described in the "non USALS" sticky above or can I just set the the DM800 sat positions numbers to correspond to the Alsat positioner numbers and let that move the dish.

As far as Im aware, the motor itself stores the positions. So if 28.2 is say pos.1 on your motor then it still will be on your dreambox when you get it up and running.

not necessary depends what bouqet xml file he has on dm 800

Just note down the postioner numbers for each Sat. Then go to each sat give the the dreambox a number and save.
I have used on my positioner and Dreambox 04 for Astra2 , 013 for Astra 1, 017 for hotbird and 021 for Thor.

easier to say 28 east ,is 28 ,13 east is 13 etc

OK guys thanks for responses. As all the sat positions are already stored in the positioner I am hoping I will only need to do as Alec says and add the postioner sat numbers to each sat in setup so if I ever needed to go back to the openbox then everything would just be the same. Will be trying it later today so will let u know how I get on.

OK guys everything working perfectly. Just as I hoped, lined up the sat position numbers in the tuner setup page AND the positioner setup page with the Alsat GBox sat position numbers and everything worked great. Thanks to all for your input.
