Flashed wrong image

I have stupidly flashed the wrong image on my dm800 i tried to flash the sim 2 image dreamelite phoeniz and its says no sim found on the display how do i fix this? Can it be fixed via a browser and application? Or would i have to get a cable?

Better get a null modem cable and try Dreamup.

Whats the difference between a no sim 2xx error and a no CA error? Just curious and are they solved the same way via dreamup? I have seen a dreambox optiflasher on this forum will that do the trick?

How do i know what image to flash? And what is a good one i tried to flash dreamelite but got the no sim2xx error?

In simple terms - No Sim2 means that you do not have a SIM2 in your box, it could be a SIM1 or a Ferrari SIM. No CA means that you have flashed an un-patched image on to the box

Thanks, so to upgrade to a sim2 all i would need to do is buy a new sim and it should work? Or if i chose to keep this one any ideas on a sim1 image that is safe that i can use?

you need to establish which sim you got in your unit ,
sim2 , ferrari or estar
only then can you find an image thats compatable with your sim type
check your unit and packaging for any reference to the above 3 types

Checked unit and packaging nothing refers to those types, opened up the unit and its a white sim card plain no bubbles or writing like my sim2 card, what could it be?

Off fleabay its just to be used as a spare and the person i bought it off couldnt tell me anything about it as they guy he got it off was no longer around, shall i just trial and error sim1 images?

not sure of the best way forward tbh , if you gonna just do trial and error , i would start at "sim1" and "estar" , as i think they are both plain white sim cards

Hi i have same problem only my box is an original box on which i have flashed a team 201 image so when try to boot erro no sim 2.01 card . I have tried dreamup via null modem cable and it finds my box and upload flashloader and put box in http mode , the i click flash and chose original image from dreambox homepage , put then it hangs on:
15:49:49 box type: DM800
15:50:57 Calculating checksum......
nothing more happens ,
I have allso tried the newenigma 2 image which have worked on the box before.
EDIT: I have forgot to uncheck use network doh.. have not thougt of that since connected via serial.

if it puts box to http mode , then simply flash with normal web browser on pc (obviously flash an original for your original box)

is there a link to dreamup which will work for my box, its not a sim2 box and i have downloaded a couple but they dont seem to work, when i connect the box the flash button is greyed out? all i get its 17:06:38 box type: DM800 displayed in the log
