    DM800 and usals ??

    Hi
I have been using a fortec star receiver with a motorised dish with no problems but i have now connected a DM800 set up all the settings for usals but when i select a channel say Bbc1 N/west i get an icon of the dish rotating in the top right hand corner of the screen and thats it, no sign of any channel, i have been at this for 2 days and have got no where, can anyone please point me in the right direction as to what i need to do.

    thanks

Tony. If you set up as westkills guide in the stickies, it will work. I have 2 boxes set up in this way and I have never had any issues with it. Just make sure you enter your long/lat correctly, also I think people are missing the point that you need to configure each sat you intend using, basically when you have set up your first sat, press ok to save that will take you back to tuner config, press ok then scroll to you next sat, then down to LNB scroll to 1LNB the rest of the config will then auto fill in, press ok to save. So on and so on for all the sats you intend to use, it will take you 10 mins to config. one more thing try first, but you may need to reset your motor.
    Good luck

Simplist method is usals have you tried that? I thought the other way was non usals?
Choose Simple in tuner and in mode choose positioner as in picture below.
Put in correct long and lat,put in a new set of Catseyes bouquets and you're done.
Also how are you putting in the long and lat we need to check that Tony.
        Andy.

Hehe, dont worry it will all fall into place for you, I use catseyes settings, you will find them in the stickies. Also in the stickies you will see SGT FlipFlops guide to using dreambox edit, have a look at them.

Pm your full home address and i will give you your long and lat.
Put it in the same as my picture starting in simple not advanced and change the mode to positioner.

As for bouquets it will make things alot easier and save you scanning.
Follow this guide below and download Catsyeyes latest bouquet.

yep , andy has nailed it , i use them settings in all motorised setups i have configured , works 100% everytime , with full catseye settings (download from sticky and use dreamboxedit guide from sticky to install)
or if you have tspanel , you can download catseye (multi sat) or SGTFlipflops (skyuk) directly from there

btw , if you are to the left of london (meridian time line) its west , to the right is east
