Have just recieved this today, am a total newbie but looking to flash an image to it, can somebody reccomend a stable one that comes with cccam installed and a tutorial of how to flash would be great.

Also where do I put the cfg file?

flashing is same as regular 800

your config file will need to be ftp`d to "etc" directory

DreamboxUK v1.0 DM800SE is a good image with cccam installed
just make sure its for your sim type (ferrari or sim2 ) provided its a clone that is

The box already comes with a perfectly usable image already installed (it might/probably even has the modules you want already installed. If not, it's a comparatively easy operation to add them, you shouldn't need a whole new image to get them working). I'd suggest that you give that a try first and let the DM "bed in" for a few weeks. That way if anything goes wrong with it you'll know it wasn't caused by anything you did - or a dodgy image.

thanks for the info i'll give the current image a go, but how do I install cccam on it?

I bought it from yaoxin and have not installed any image on it so the factory one i guess

also how do I know which sim type mine is?

okay if you press the blue button do you get the installed cams page up

I just flashed via web browser and now I have the message

R01 no CA found

What have I done?

can u open your menu and goto settings>satellite tuner

thanks for all your help, I dont have a port for my null modem cable though, is there another way?

Also can you recomend somewhere decent to download images from?

yes you can buy a usb to null cable ,cable

thanks, im going to give that a go now, where can I find a reliable download of sim2 dreamboxuk vol 1 though to flash it with?
