DreamBox 800 HD PVR Buzzing

Just set up my box and sat everything working just great, but I have a constant buzzing noise from the box. any ideas is this common.

common problem mate , the noise is most likely the fan dried out , open it up , next to the tuner is a small fan ontop of a heat sink , peel back the sticker and feed in a bit of vaseleine (maybe 2 grains of rice size) down the centre spindle area , re-attach sticker , and jobs a goodun for another 6-12 month

obviously remove from power before doing any of the above

i just removed mine along with the modem board and its been fine so far. regards mdt
