hi guy new to the dreambox is there any way to get a good epg as mine is rubbish

Yes by using Crossepg two options would be Rytec, OpenTV or both.. Rytec downloads from the net and OpenTV downloads from the Sat feed.

If your image does not have it installed normally menu --> Setup then at the bottom (if included in image)

If not there it can easily be downloaded from Tspanel, if you do not have Tspanel you can get the latest version here (think 4.0 is the latest if I remember right)

Download Tspanel on your computer then FTP the IPK file to tmp. install through your receiver and then restart once done you should be able to find under menu.

Also loads of other useful plugins, cams etc can be downloaded from Tspanel.

iv download the opentv on my box how do i run it help plz

Right go in to menu then settings then crossepg now on the first window go down to 'scheduled download' then set that to once a day ( this will allow your receiver to download epg data daily. Now below that you have 'scheduled download at' set that to a time to suit you i just leave it at 4.00 as im most likely not going to be watching tv at that time.

Now press exit on your remote. on this window select 'XMLTV providers' then scroll down to 'Rytec UK XMLTV' press green to enable now press exit again.

Then go to OpenTV providers and scroll down to 'Sky UK OpenTv (Astra2 on 28.2)' once again press green to enable and then press yellow to download.

If opentv does not download (sometimes the case but is the better of the 2) go back to the first option and download that one.

In future for instance if theres no epg due to a restart etc all you need to do is go to your plugins select crossepg and it will download the data. No need to do all that again.

Its no problem glad to be of help. normally long press on info button mate will give you epg options. Would recommend downloading cool tv guide from tspanel much nicer looking epg mate.
