read a lot about tuners gone but got 2 boxes dm 800 hd pro clones one in my house one 2doors away at my daughters house the daughters box saying tune failed tried restart several times still the same message date on her box displaying 01--01--2000 this is where i cant understand the theory tuner gone brought box to my house set it up worked great so i took my box which was working great to her house same display tune failer also date on my box also displayed 01--01--2000 do not know what to do also took my box back to my house set it up and it also worked great even date displayed was correct did abit research before asking this question lot of people saying tuner as a neewbie from cable i cant see that some have said sly dish or cable connection from dish any one help if so how do i carry out elimination of problem dish or cable any one help please thank you mial ( ps sorry the question is so long )

is the dish pointing at the correct sat or maybe the lnb is faulty -
Try different satellite box at your daughters, i.e a original SKY box,if problems show up i.e no signal then try check dish is still on wall ( have known ppl who had dish stolen or blown off by gale ), coax cable check first check F connectors not getting a short,check cable all way back to dish for no splits or cuts.
If dish is correctly aligned not been moved then check LNB on dish,if available swop it yourself very cheap LNBs these days.Comment
