Dreambox not visible under Network

Hi there,

I have Dreambox 800SE and I can see it in Total Commander through FTP, I can access through the browser, DCC and ftps like Filezilla.

However, I cannot see the Dreambox as a computer when I go to Start / Network in my Windows Vista. I see all my other machines there - a laptop and a desktop. Also a freebox (that is a TV box in France that serves as a router too).

Dreambox is not visible when I go to Start / Network.

Any ideas, please?

log into your router through ie or firefox.
you should then see your dreambox ip address

My network doesn't see the 800se as a comp, it lists it as a "samba server "
Maybe yours is same. I have "network moniter " programme on a PC, that tells me all that's on the network and it picks up everything
