    Dm800se Variants - Please Help!

    Hi,

I've been lurking at this site for years, and I'm now finally ready to get round to actually getting a Dreambox Clone, but then you get confused by the different suppliers and slight variants!

Could the very helpful and informed members of this forum please advise me on the difference between these 3 boxes and/or the difference between supplier/manufacturer.

DM800SE EDITION SIM 2.10 COLOUR OLED SCREEN BL82 - ukdreamshop

Also, I noticed the recent launch of the triple tuner box, first for now, at Yaoxincn/Mixeshop - I've been waiting ages for these existing twin-tuner boxes to become cheap enough, have hdmi, and have quality settled systems, but now this new model has come out, how bug-ridden is it likely to be? is it worth waiting for the next version? will firmware be able to fix it or are its bugs likely to be hardware/tuner-based - i'm mainly just focused on dsat? What could i gain/lose with the triple-tuner model right now over the standard (though newer revision) dm800se's?

    Many Thanks in advance.

    Yours kindly,

Dont even think theres any images out yet with triple tuner support, details are still sketchy not clear whether the tuners can be used at the same time etc..also supposed to be bugs with the DVB-T etc. The triple tuner model is known as the Sunray SR4. Personally I dont have a use for DVB C or DVB T tuners. Dual SVB S2 would be much more desirable.

Better to stick to the single tuner version, currently the latest SIM 2.1 clones have

    Motherboard REV D6
    Front USB, Rear mini-flashup button.
    SSL 84a

Personally I would say get the SIM 2.1 version, avoid the Ferarri version support is poor on Ferarri version.

      Hi,

Thanks very much for your reply.

For me, it has to be at least dual-tuner with internal pvr/hdd.

Could you please recommend/provide a link to a suitable retailer/box fitting those specs. you suggested.

      Thanks in advance.

Also, if there's other FM's with their own thoughts.......

      Yours kindly,

i beleive you can also get usb tuners as well so you dont just have to buy a twin tuner model
