    DM800 signal Problem

Was watching BBC 1 HD MAtch of the day last night when all of a sudden the picture went blank. Restarted the box countless times but still no signal, moved the dish to 13E still no signal on any channel. Hooked up old DM500 and picture is coming fine. SNR on dm800 is coming as ZERO. If i go to tuner config, i can see the tuner but it just cant pick any signal. Connected the sky dish and still no signal. Im lost as to whats the issue here

Maybe your tuner has packed in. Or Try the power brick off the 500 on the 800, as faulty psu could give signal issues,
Failing that remove an inspect the tuner, look for leakage around capacitors

Had exactly the same problem no signal on 800 but fine on 500,checked tuner and all looked ok
tried scanning channels on 800 and all comes back for a while but then back to no signal.turned out to be the psu.put a new psu in and so far everything working as it should.

silly question but are boxes also surge protected and fan cooled externally?
