Dreambox 800SE with Alps Rev M tuner ?

Hi, i bought a dm800se a few months ago, working great, then suddenly now discovery hd not working says tuner failed, but rest channels fine ?, I know my service files are upto date as work on dm800pro, i opened it up and seems like its a rev m tuner ?? , i taken card out, even got sticker underneath it saying dm800pro ?, i thought these use the BCM broadcom tuner ?,

i tried tuner from my dm800pro which got exact same rev m tuner which are used in dm800 pro, but keeps going on boot loop ? do i need to reflash image again,

    thanks

Does it say tune failed? That usually means the configuration is wrong not that the tuner is faulty.

says tuner failed, but why is everything else working on 28.2 only the channels on freq on discovery hd dont, also did a scan, it only picked up 500 channels,

I also got a dm800pro which works perfect on same dish and service files,

I just found this out, if i watch other channels for hour to so, box warms up or tuner warms up then discovery hd starts working wih perfect signal. till the next time i put it on standby, must be faulty tuner,

i had more or less the same problem with a bcm broadcom tuner
the tuner failed to open the lower frequencies
on 19e on 10.729 and the lower frequences on other sats
also it failed with some of the hd chns on 28e on certain frequencies
i tried a old rev J from a old dm800 and the box found
and opened or had a signal from all the sd and hd frequencies
i then bought a new bcm broadcom tuner now the box is now ok
apart from the clock on standby it looses time and after many trys
to sort it without luck i just turned the standby off in the display section
my overall view is it's a good box but more care in manufacture would have
made it first class, my regret is that i wish i had gone for the dm800 hd

strange the tuner from dm800pro which is also rev m, keeps rebooting in dm800se even reflashed image, so i think the rev m tuners in dm800se must be slightly different for it to work

              the dm800se model does'nt use a rev M tuner
it has a BCM4505(DVB-S2) single lnb port tuner
and when my 800se had problems i tried old REV j tuner
from a old dm800 genuine box and it worked but i had to leave
the small panel off on the back panel i then tried a rev M and it
was'nt recognised and it wont work. i then got a new dm800se tuner
              that is the BCM tuner

my dm800se came with a rev m tuner, with fitted back plate for it, wierd thing is rev m tuner from my dm800pro doesnt work just keeps boot looping back,

will ask supplier to give me a BCM tuner , think they use rev m tuner must be cheaper

                  i did'nt know and hav'nt seen a dm800se
with a alps tuner with a lnb input and loop out ports
they are said to have the BCM4505(DVB-S2) fitted and i have
seen reports that the new dm800hd boxes are also now being
                  fitted with the BCM4505(DVB-S2) tuner
but i did try a rev M and in the tuner set up menu
it said tuner A empty but a old rev J did work.
