I got a refund on my 800 se due to timer issues.
Is there a twin tuner 800 clone being released or something similar to the 800 se but a twin tuner as I would like to watch another Chanel while recording.

same here, i have a dm800se runs perfect, very fast, but need a dual tuner, dont know if there will be a dual dvb s2 tuner for dm800se, im looking at getting the Vu+ Duo now

A vu+ duo is out of my price range. I think there is a clone duo out? Any one got one? If so how much did they pay for it ect

VU+ duo is the cheapest dual tuner receiver you'll get, i dont think there are any duo clones yet. Also there have been rumours of twin tuner dm800's but these again are just rumours.

Edit - Clones of the VU+ duo are supposed to be released between 1-3 months, and im guessing will cost approx ?200. Now you can wait, but bear in mind,
1. 1-3 months is an estimate.
2. Price im just guessing, could be totally wrong.
3. Your going to be one of the first to get it, so any problems with hardware or software and your stuck.
4. The real deal is only about 100 more and you can get it now, plenty of support and none of the above issues.

you aint got much choice then, the VU Duo is best priced dual tuner, and has got great support, and great images,

gonna be getting myself a Vu Duo very soon, that dual tuner will be very handy

Seems like a vu+ clone is close to being released maybe this month according to l&w have seen a post on another forum saying they are already out @ 148 quid if I remember correctly so I think il hang back and get one of them from l&w.

The vU+ solo clone costs ?130 So no chance they'll sell the duo at 148. No chance at all.

Just think about it, they make tens of thousands of dm800se clones, and the cheapest they can sell them at is about 150 a pop. So what makes you think that they can sell a newer, better spec'd, dual tuner box which they'll be making in a much smaller quantity for cheaper than the dm800se.

Id love to see it, but highly doubt that.

Your lucky to get a refund as timer issues are down to the image used, i found a timer issue with nemeisis images only

I wasn't using nemisis the issue was on all russian, sat4fun and another immage which I can recall. Basically every image I tried.

yer i had same issue but then thought to my self it cant be the box as it dont store the time it retrieves it from the sat feed on start up, so i changed to icvs image and it fixed my time problem

Bubbles there was a few people having trouble from a batch with time issues not down to image and on any image they tried.

Lombard by the sounds of things we wont see the Vu Duo clone this month. Finally just got some info from Ruby and she said that she heard that next month possible but Febuary is more realistic due to there holidays.

The price I have heard previously was ?210 including delivery from China if thats true theres only ?100 difference so really is it worth it going for the clone model?

As for patched images etc no idea mate when I first heard about these I heard reports of Ferarri sim. I have heard more so recently that there will be no sim card same as the original receiver.

Thought I would post this here as I posted it on another thread today.

For those not in the know Ruby is from L&W.

All of what I have said is only what I have heard and not 100% but I have been doing some digging on this for some time. Febuary does sound about right and Ruby has told me that it is more likely to be Febuary due to the Chinese holidays.

Personally if you are in a hurry for a twin tuner receiver I would fork out the extra and go for the Duo original. Even when the clone is released I would advice to stay away from it until you have read plenty of good feedback and others have had it for awhile. Look at the 800 clones when they first came out and to be honest they did not completely get them right until the release of the 800 SE. Yeah the 800Pro was good but still not even close to the 800SE.

The quality that comes out of L&W in my opinion is outstanding and I have no doubt that they will get the Duo right but I have my doubts about them or anyone else getting it right first time round.

The problem I had was it lost time in standby and when turned on for eg if I set timer to record it would start at the wrong time and keep recording as it was losing time.
It's gone now so I'm gona wait for a vu+ duo clone.
Even if is 200 quid its only what I paid for my 800se clone off eBay.

Why not just pay an extra ?90 and get it now instead of 3 months down the line and guaranteed to be free from tuner problems, clone safe images and all that.

For a DM its understandable why a clone is needed, because the originals are priced insanely high. But VU prices are reasonable.

Been thinking about it tonight but cant get a dual feed from the payserver i use. So it would be pointless getting twin tuner box as wouldnt be able to use both tuners plus i only have fixed dish atm.
Can anyone recommend a solution?

Why dont you ask the server owner if you can have a second line for a dual tuner box, it would be from the same box and ip. As i know some do offer discount for a 2nd line for the same ip.

Otherwise, just get another dm800 ?
